If you are interested in helping prepare the healthcare workforce of tomorrow, or giving back to the community in a meaningful way: the Simulation Center at MMC is looking for people of all backgrounds, races, genders, and sexual orientations to be Standardized Patients, or SPs. SPs teach and evaluate healthcare students and clinicians by portraying patients and family in simulated clinical scenarios. SPs are people who value lifelong learning, have strong communications skills, and have very flexible schedules. The role is part-time and per diem, making it ideal for part-time students and "gig workers"--or retirees like me! If you’d like to learn more, or know of others who might like to, please contact the Simulation Center at SPLab@mmc.org
