    The Programs Committee has been hard at work this summer lining up a stellar slate of programs for the 2019-2020 season. This season's programs illustrate the range of skills that today's talent development professionals need to help their organizations succeed.

    The ATD National Talent Development Book Club is going strong! We just finished discussing Originals, by Adam Grant, and are now voting on what book to discuss next. If you'd like to weigh in, just click here.

    UPDATE: The slate of programs for the 2019-2020 season have been selected, and the Request for Proposals is now closed.  Watch this space for information about next year's Request for Proposals.

    Have you always wanted to present at one of the monthly ATD Maine Chapter events?  If so, now's your chance.  Act now, because the call for proposals will only remain open from March 1st through April 15th.

    The Maine ATD Chapter Program Team invites you to submit a proposal to present a program during our 2019-20 season.

    Our goal for the 2019-20 season is to provide opportunities for our members to benefit from engaging professional development addressing ATD’s National Competency Model foundational competencies and areas of expertise.

    Our chapter is partnering with more than 40 ATD Chapters to create an online book club for L&D professionals around the country. The group will connect virtually through an online forum to discuss books related to L&D, training, organizational development and much more. You can learn more and sign up for the book club here: The program is completely free so feel free to pass the opportunity on to friends and colleagues.

    After exciting and thought-provoking discussions of Carol Dweck's Mindset and Cal Newport's Deep Workthe book club is starting to discuss its next book: Influencer: The Power to Change Anything by the team that wrote Crucial Conversations.

    Reading Schedule for Influencer:

    • By February 21st, finish reading chapters 1 and 2
    • By February 28th, finish reading chapters 3 and 4
    • By March 7th, finish reading chapters 5 and 6
    • By March 14th, finish reading chapters 7 and 8
    • By March 21st, finish reading chapter 9
    • By March 28th, finish the book and get ready for our end of book discussion!
