A Taste of Interdependence: What's happening outside of my lane?

Program

Why does interdependence matter? As long as I get my job done, isn’t that good enough?

Understanding interdependence is a key factor in achieving a cohesive culture that helps people feel valued as individuals, team members, and contributors of the success of an organization. When faced with a situation or a problem, it is always good to view the journey from above and get a sense of the whole, as well as the individual parts. By understanding how the parts of an organization work together, and identifying workflow disruptions and pain points, we are able to model interdependence and achieve a vision.

ATD Capability Model

A Taste of Interdependence will touch upon Impacting Organizational Capability: Organizational Development and Culture. The focus will be on the importance of systems thinking, epistemic humility, and designing collaborative work practices to create dialogue. Understanding the broader perspective provides an opportunity to discuss workflow, pain points, and support systems, which ultimately leads to a better customer journey and a realized vision.
