Listen Up! What We Listen For Determines What We Hear

AND What We Don’t....

An experiential exploration to determine your primary and secondary listening styles - and suggestions for expanding your listening skills.

PROGRAM

There’s plenty out there on our learning styles, our communication styles... but we are all listeners too. How we listen and the filters we use in listening can determine much about what we absorb, the nature of our relationships and the actions we decide to take in our lives and careers. Here’s a chance to dig deeper into the subject of emotional intelligence as we discover our natural inclinations as listeners - what we listen for, what we listen with, and how we can strengthen our listening skills for more effective interactions.

This highly experiential workshop offers a unique opportunity to learn about ourselves as Head, Heart or Hands listeners, and how those skills ultimately benefit our emotional as well as our transactional intelligence.

Responses from previous Listen Up! workshops:

  • “Super Beneficial!”
  • “A great new tool to use in stressful situations.” “Thanks for such an interesting and USEFUL training.” “Terrific presentation! I was engaged the whole time.” “Bring this one back!”

Learning Goals:

  • Determine your primary and secondary listening styles
  • Explore suggestions for expanding your listening skills
