PROGRAM

Learn how unconscious bias can affect employee development and success!

Talent Development Professionals need to be aware of multiple forms of individual difference and the unconscious bias occurring in themselves, training participants, as well as, in every day behavior. In this highly interactive workshop, we’ll explore the various types of unconscious bias, its natural scientific basis and how it impacts training success and employee performance. Participants will acquire practical strategies to manage unconscious bias in themselves, as well as, the people they train. In doing so, they’ll be treating their colleagues, participants and others with honor, respect and dignity so they and the organization can realize their full potential.

As a result of this session participants will be able to:

  • Define unconscious bias and its natural scientific basis.
  • Delineate common forms of unconscious bias in the workplace.
  • Describe how unconscious bias impacts us as instructors, as well as, the training process, individual behavior and company performance.
  • Identify practical strategies and behaviors to manage unconscious bias.
